Today was a life changing day as we sat in the magistrate's office and he congratulated us on our son. Everything went so smoothly so thank you for praying. God is so faithful! As we left the courthouse today, I had such a feeling of peace. Knowing that he was now ours - for good - and how God heard our longing and prayers over the past 4 years and blessed us with an incredible boy.
Tonight, we went out for supper as a family to celebrate and had such a great time! Then later, brought dessert back to celebrate with the other families here. What an awesome day!
Looking forward to sharing many more adventures in the days to come!
Yippee!!

ReplyDeleteWhat a journey and adventure this has been and will be for you Ian and Heidi. God's love is so strong and in the midst of waiting he sustained you and carried you through to this divine appointment with adopting Griffin as your son. Thank you for sharing your story, your adventure, and your longing prayer for your baby boy. I am reminded of a passage in the book of Luke when Jesus was teaching in parables about The Little Children, But Jesus called the Children to him and said, "Let the little Children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these." Luke 18:16. As I sit here crying with tears of joy and thankfulness for how great God is, what a testimony this will bring to others, and to see many people around you find Salvation in Jesus Christ. Griffin is a stud! He has the studliest parents in the whole world. Much love and prayers in this blessed moment for you all. Safe travels in Africa and on your way home to Canada. Love, Chelsa
